SAS EXPANDS ITS SUMMER PROGRAM TO INCLUDE ATLANTA

As part of SAS' summer program 2024, a ninth destination will be added to the North American network. On June 17th SAS will start connecting cargo and customers with daily nonstop service to Atlanta from Copenhagen.

With almost 94 million passengers passing through in 2022, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, strategically situated, is the world’s busiest and most efficient airport. The advantageous location underscores the importance of cargo transportation, making it an ideal hub for our operations.

In the southeastern United States, Atlanta stands as a crucial commercial, financial, and transportation center. Hosting over 75 percent of Fortune 1000 companies and offices of approximately 1,250 multinational corporations, it further solidifies its role as a key player in the business landscape.

In a significant move, SAS is not only unveiling a new destination but is also enhancing its frequencies to North America throughout the summer season. The Copenhagen-New York (JFK) route will now feature up to two daily flights, complementing the existing daily flights to New York-Newark Airport from Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen. Additionally, SAS is elevating its Copenhagen to Boston flights to daily operations, up from six times a week during the summer. Furthermore, a fourth weekly flight from Copenhagen to Toronto is being introduced.
