All shipments to or via the U.S. and booked on flights 15th November 2010 or later, must be accompanied by a MAWB Acceptance Statement.
The agent must deliver the original and a copy of the statement attached to the AWB.
Handling Agents at the export station should review the statement, collect the copy, and forward the original with the AWB. Copies must be kept on file at the handling agents, for 90 calendar days.
If the statement is missing, the shipment is considered "elevated risk cargo" and must not be accepted.
Transfer shipments from other carriers must not be accepted without the same MAWB Acceptance Statement and a copy must be kept on file at the transfer station for 90 calendar days.

This Statement is an addition to the documents already accompanying the AWB, and does not replace any of those.
