More intercontinental Cargo Capacity

Strong demand for SAS intercontinental destinations has led SAS to decide on an expansion on the intercontinental fleet. A new 10th aircraft will be deployed as of end October (Oct. 31st 2010) whereby SAS will offer more flights to New York, Chicago, Bangkok and Dubai. Customer demand has increased strongly over the past months on both US and Asia, and the upturn in the economy now encourages SAS to pursue an expansion by utilizing an additional Airbus 340. For Cargo the expansion means an increase of cargo capacity with approx. 700 T per month in the coming winter program.

Effect on the coming winter program
Compared with previous winter programs there will be daily services between Copenhagen and New York (Newark), Copenhagen- Chicago and Copenhagen-Bangkok. Furthermore, frequencies on both Stockholm-New York and Copenhagen-Dubai (Stockholm to/from New York from 5 to 6 weekly and Copenhagen to/from Dubai from 3 to 4 weekly) has been added.

Below are the changes to the winter program and all with one extra frequency.

New Head Office address

New appointed GSA for SAS Cargo in Lithuania and Russia

We are happy to announce that Alpha Airline Services is appointed as GSA for SAS Cargo in Lithuania and Russia as of June 1, 2010. The Managing Director of Alpha Airlines Services, Daiva Palm, is very well known to SAS Cargo and to the customers. As a former employee of SAS Cargo she, is now taking up her former job as GSA for the two countries she knows best; Lithuania and Russia.

It is a great pleasure that Daiva Palm with her company, Alpha Airlines Services, is starting as GSA. Daiva is a hard working woman who knows the customer, the market and SAS Cargo – the perfect GSA choice for us, says Rasmus Enderslev, Sales Director, Nordics.

SAS Cargo appoints Aerotrans as GSA for Germany

Aerotrans Luftfahrtagentur GmbH has been appointed GSA for SAS Cargo in Germany as of June 1st, 2010. We wish to welcome Aerotrans and we look forward to our future cooperation.
