- SAS's environmental goals are based on constant improvement and on each subsidiary setting specific targets and working to reach them
- SAS will seek to use renewable energy
- SAS will have an environmental program as good as or better than leading industry competitors' that attracts customers and capital
- SAS's environmental goals and activities are to be coordinated and harmonized with other production, quality and financial tagets and will comply with applicable legislation and other requirements

Accreditation - the only airline in the wolrd with both ISO 14001 and EMAS
In June 2006, SAS Cargo received the ISO14001 certification and in September 2010 the EMAS Certificate from Bureau Veritas. These certificates embrace the entire SAS Cargo Group, and will improve not only the sustainability and environmental focus but also increase the quality and efficiency.
UN Global Compact
SAS Cargo is a member of The UN Global Compact, which is an initiative of good citizenship for companies founded by the former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and now run by Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon. The initiative has 10 principles in the areas; Human Rights, Labour Standards, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
Membership of UN Global Compact is free of charge, with a possibility of joining other sustainable projects. For further information cf.
